What's the process of recording a SynchPoint presentation?
We will come to your event with all the necessary kit to film the presenter and record their graphics.
We then synchronise the presentation and send you a copy for review and approval.
Once signed off we can upload the presentation to your company's web server, or we can host it for you at no additional cost. We can also provide a copy on CD.
-
Do you need to install anything on my laptop to capture the presentation?
No, we use an external piece of hardware to record the VGA output of your computer.
-
What material can you capture from my PC?
Literally anything you can see on your monitor, we can capture into SynchPoint. It doesn't matter whether it's a PC or a Mac, or if you use Powerpoint or Keynote. You can include Video or audio clips, and software demos - we can record tham all in high definition and in full motion.
-
Do you only record presentations at live events?
No, we can record at your office, or any venue of your choice.
-
Can you edit my presentation?
If we are pre-recording your presentation (without an audience) sometimes it is better to simply start again. Alternatively, or for a live event recording, we can make simple cuts to remove sections that you are unhappy with.
-
Do you record the sound from my PC?
Yes we can record the sound directly from your computer or from a sound desk at your event.
-
What is the maximum size image you can capture from my laptop?
We can capture images up to 1280x1024 pixels.

We're organising a live event, our AV people have asked what signal connections you need to your SynchPoint recorder and video camera?
To the SynchPoint recorder we need a VGA signal up to 1280x1024 pixels on a 15pin connection, and a balanced audio signal on XLR connections from the sound desk. To the video camera we'll need another balanced XLR audio feed from the sound desk. We will also need to run a composite video cable from the camera position to the SynchPoint recorder position.
We can provide these or liaise with your AV people to ensure that everything is in place to capture your event via SynchPoint.
